TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RELOCATION PROCESS AND DURATION
1.1 The Customer or their representative must be present during the move and during the final walk-through. Working time continues until the service is completed and payment is processed.
1.2 The duration of a move depends on many factors including the number of items, furniture disassembly or assembly, building access conditions, travel distance between locations, and other circumstances. Wise Move cannot guarantee an exact completion time.
1.3 A one-hour arrival window is required for truck arrival.
1.4 If the move cannot be completed within the scheduled time due to circumstances beyond the Company’s control, Wise Move reserves the right to attend other scheduled obligations before returning to complete the job.
1.5 If the relocation requires more than one business day, a separate agreement may be required for each additional day of service. Payment must be made at the end of each service day.
1.6 Any concerns related to the move must be reported during the moving process. Delays may occur due to factors such as customer preparation, elevator availability, parking limitations, building restrictions, additional stops, long carrying distances, or other unforeseen circumstances.
1.7 Wise Move reserves the right to use subcontractors or independent contractors to perform services when necessary.
1.8 All subcontractors performing services on behalf of Wise Move must comply with these Terms and Conditions.

PAYMENT AND FEES
2.1 If parking violations occur while performing moving services due to lack of legal parking access provided by the Customer, the Customer agrees to reimburse the full cost of any issued ticket.
2.2 Wise Move does not guarantee that all items will fit into the truck in a single trip. If an additional truck is required, it may be provided subject to availability and will be charged separately.
2.3 If the Customer refuses to pay for services performed, Wise Move reserves the right to transfer the Customer’s belongings to a storage facility. The Customer will be responsible for all related costs including transportation, labor, storage fees, and materials.
2.4 Payment for services must be made immediately upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.5 Wise Move reserves the right to request a deposit to secure a booking date. Deposits are applied toward the final invoice and may be non-refundable depending on cancellation timing.
2.6 Basic valuation coverage of $0.60 per pound per article is included at no additional cost unless additional insurance coverage is purchased before the move.
2.7 Customers requesting additional insurance coverage must submit a written request prior to the scheduled move.
2.8 Wise Move will not process any damage claims until the full balance for the move has been paid.
2.9 Payment may be made by cash, credit card, or e-transfer unless another payment method is agreed upon in advance.
2.10 Movers are entitled to a 15-minute break approximately every two hours. When services are billed hourly, break time is included in the total billable time.

PACKING AND DAMAGE WAIVER
3.1 Wise Move assumes no liability for items of extraordinary value unless they are specifically declared and listed in writing prior to the move. These include but are not limited to jewelry, currency, precious metals, collectibles, securities, documents, firearms, or other valuables.
3.2 Wise Move is not responsible for mechanical or electrical malfunction of appliances or electronic equipment unless external physical damage caused during the move is clearly evident.
3.3 Wise Move does not perform installation or disconnection of appliances or plumbing fixtures. Customers are responsible for arranging qualified professionals for such services.
3.4 Furniture protection using moving blankets and shrink wrap is recommended to minimize potential damage to items and property surfaces.
3.5 If a Customer declines recommended protective packing, Wise Move may request a signed Damage Waiver releasing the Company from liability for related damage.
3.6 Wise Move reserves the right to refuse to move items that cannot be safely transported without risk of injury or damage unless a Damage Waiver is signed.
3.7 Wise Move is not responsible for damage to items packed by the Customer or by third parties.
3.8 If damage is determined to have occurred due to the actions of Wise Move personnel, the Company reserves the right to repair, replace, or compensate for the damaged item.
3.9 Wise Move is not responsible for damage to driveways, parking areas, landscaping, or pavement caused by vehicle weight or access conditions beyond the Company’s control.
3.10 Wise Move is not responsible for internal mechanical or electrical failures of items moved.
3.11 Wise Move assumes no liability for loss or damage caused by events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, structural limitations, governmental actions, or other force majeure events.
3.12 Furniture constructed from particle board, pressed wood, or ready-to-assemble materials may be structurally vulnerable during relocation. Customers are advised to disassemble such furniture before moving. If transported assembled, Wise Move cannot guarantee that damage will not occur.
3.13 Customers must notify Wise Move in advance of any unusually heavy or oversized items exceeding approximately 200 pounds. Additional manpower or equipment may be required and additional charges may apply.
3.14 Customers must notify Wise Move in writing if any individual item exceeds a value of $2,500 or if any group of items exceeds a total value of $1,000.
3.15 Any visible damage must be reported to the crew leader before the movers leave the premises. Wise Move will not be responsible for claims reported after the crew has departed.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
4.1 Wise Move shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including loss of profits or business interruption.
4.2 Wise Move shall not be liable for claims made by third parties arising from the services performed.
4.3 Wise Move shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control including traffic conditions, mechanical issues, weather events, or building restrictions.

SERVICE CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING
5.1 If a move is cancelled or rescheduled within seven days of the scheduled moving date, a cancellation fee equivalent to one hour of service may apply.
5.2 If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled move, a cancellation fee equivalent to three hours of service may apply.
5.3 If the Customer requests to stop the move after work has begun, the Customer must pay for all labor and services performed up to that point.
5.4 Wise Move reserves the right to stop the service if unsafe conditions arise or if the Customer behaves in an aggressive, abusive, or unsafe manner.

AGREEMENT
6.1 By booking services with Wise Move, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms listed above. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Wise Move and the Customer unless otherwise modified in writing by an authorized representative of the Company.
